If you’re looking for pointers on improving your swimming efficiency and speed, fine-tuning your stroke would be a good place to begin. Zing will help you find ways to improve the propulsive mechanics of your stroke, develop better hand awareness of the water by sculling, identify hold-ups in the timing of your stroke, and movement mechanics that would be safer and more productive.
Strength and conditioning in the gym or the weight room will focus on developing mobility, agility, stability, and, ultimately, strength. The process will involve more compound movements, engaging neuromuscular coordination, building stronger hip mobility, and more stable shoulders. Speed-training with the agility ladder will help develop faster footwork and better coordination.
Zing holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Brookbush Institute, the International Youth Conditioning Association, as well as the American Swimming Coaches Association.
These credentials combined with solid experience and ongoing conversations with leaders in fitness and swimming circles enable Zing to impart knowledgeable and well-researched training principles. And if she doesn’t have the answers, she will find someone who does!
