BIDDY BASKETBALL

AGES | 3-6 years old
DAYS |  Mondays & Fridays
TIME | 5:15-6 p.m.
COST | $45 member, $60 non-member

Children learn fundamental skills of basketball using exciting drills and game situations in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Tennis shoes/sneakers are required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own basketball and water bottles.

Greater Johnstown Community YMCA is launching a new youth sports program to introduce kids to various sports without a commitment to one sport. Each week will focus on the basics of a different sport or game:

WEEK 1: Intro to Exercise & Sports

WEEK 2: Soccer

WEEK 3: Kickball

WEEK 4: Tee Ball

WEEK 5: Hockey

WEEK 6: Games & Fun

Time | Games run from 8am – 2pm
Cost | $45 Individuals; $400 Teams
Deadline| December 13, 2024

League play will begin on Saturday, January 6, 2024. The deadline to register is December 13, 2024. Players registering without a team will be placed on a YMCA team with a volunteer coach and receive a team shirt for gameplay. The league will consist of 8 weeks of play plus playoffs. Games will be played on Saturday mornings.

Girls 3rd & 4th Grade Basketball League

Date | Sundays, January 5 – March 2
Time | Games run from 10 am – 4 pm
Cost | $45 Individuals; $400 Teams
Deadline| December 13, 2024

League play will begin on Sunday, January 5, 2025. The deadline to register is December 13, 2024. Players registering without a team will be placed on a YMCA team with a volunteer coach and receive a team shirt for gameplay.

The league will consist of 8 weeks of play plus playoffs. Games will be played on Sundays starting at 10 a.m.

K-2 Co-Ed Basketball League

Date | January 4 – February 22
Time | Saturday 2:00 – 7:00
Cost | $45 Individuals; $400 Team
Deadline| December 20, 2023

League play will begin on Saturday, January 4, 2024. The deadline to register is December 16, 2024. Players registering without a team will be placed on a YMCA team with a volunteer coach and receive a team shirt for gameplay.

The league will consist of 8 weeks of play. Games will be played on Saturdays in the afternoon.

SPORTS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Greater Johnstown Community YMCA is happy to provide a sports internship to local 8th-12th grade students. This volunteer position will assist our sports staff at sporting events and programming. Sports interns can attend optional monthly meetings, beginning in September, to learn the basics of sports management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8th-12th grade student
• High interest in sports and sports management
• Self-motivated
• Enthusiastic
• Willingness to learn
