Dear Supporter of the YMCA Harley-Davidson Bike/Cash Raffle,
It is with much regret that I write to tell you that ticket sales for the Harley-Davidson Bike/$10,000 cash option giveaway have not met our expectations. As a result, the YMCA must exercise its right to modify the raffle according to the stated rules. We appreciate your support of the Y through the purchasing of a ticket/tickets and hope you understand our situation and will continue to support our causes.
Much work has been done to make this raffle a success, as it is a key fund raising event that supports the charitability of our YMCA. Our Open Doors Program, funded through events like this, have supported our veterans returning from war with brain injuries, provided opportunities for youth, adults, families, the aging and vulnerable populations, who could not have otherwise benefited from programs and services offered at the YMCA. We don’t want to let these folks down by not having the necessary funds to support these essential programs.
As a result, we have decided to modify the raffle by eliminating the grand prize which was the Harley-Davidson Street Glide and award the $10,000 cash option prize to the lucky winner. We will continue to sell the original number of tickets advertised, which was 3000 tickets. The date for the drawing will be December 1, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the YMCA.
It is our hope that you will continue to support the Y and the hundreds of people who benefit from money raised for our Open Doors Program and other vital programs by keeping your ticket in the drawing for the $10,000 prize. We do want to honor our commitment to you as well so we are providing you the opportunity to remove your ticket from the raffle drawing and receive a refund for the total number of tickets you wish to have removed.

On behalf of the YMCA Board of Directors and staff, I would like to thank you for supporting the YMCA and for understanding our need to modify the raffle.
